Jonathan Rafe Rankin (also known as Jonathan Rafe Ranlein) a stockbroker and supervisor currently registered with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Inc. is the subject of a customer initiated investment related written complaint on November 8, 2017 in which the customer requested damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 founded on accusations that misrepresentations and omissions had been made to the customer concerning the terms and conditions of equity-indexed annuities and variable annuity products purchased by the customer in May of 2017.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure additionally reveals that on January 21, 2016, a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Rankin’s activities where the customer sought unspecified damages based upon allegations that between June of 2015 and January of 2016, while Rankin was associated with Merrill Lynch, omissions and misleading statements were made to the customer in regard to structured products transactions; and trades were effected in the customer’s account that the customer had not authorized.

Rankin has been employed by Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith Inc. since August 30, 2017.
