FINRA Bars Pruco Stockbroker In Investigation

Matthew Vincent Muratori (also known as Matthew Vincent Muraton) of Tampa Florida a stockbroker formerly associated with Pruco Securities LLC and Foresters Financial Services Inc. has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity supported by consenting to findings that Muratori failed to cooperate in a FINRA investigation into allegations of his misuse of customer funds. Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent No. 2019063976701 (June 8, 2020).

According to the AWC, after being terminated by Pruco Securities on December 23, 2019, FINRA proceeded with its investigation into Muratori’s possible conversion of an elderly customer’s funds. By May 29, 2020, a request was made by FINRA for Muratori to provide recorded testimony on June 4, 2020. On June 1, 2020, Muratori was also instructed by FINRA to turn over information and documentation no later than June 15, 2020.

On June 3, 2020, FINRA received confirmation from Muratori that he understood the nature of the requests. But Muratori clarified for FINRA that he would not be testifying or providing any information or documentation at any point. Muratori’s failure to comply with FINRA’s requests constituted a violation of FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210.

FINRA Public Disclosure confirms that Muratori was also an investment adviser representative for Simplicity Wealth LLC while he was employed by Pruco Securities. He was terminated from Simplicity on June 1, 2020 when he became the subject of an investigation for his possible violation of federal securities laws or industry rules.
