Jeffrey Worth Ostrander (also known as JW Ostrander) of Overland Park Kansas a stockbroker currently employed by Raymond James Financial Services Inc. is referenced in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim where the customer sought $140,000.00 in damages supported by accusations that: (1) the firm and Ostrander violated FINRA rules in dealing with the customer (2) trades failed to be executed in the customer’s account according to the customer’s instructions (3) misrepresentations were made regarding investment information (4) contractual obligations to the customer were breached (5) the customer’s account was handled in a negligent manner (6) the customer had been defrauded and (7) the firm failed to supervise Ostrander’s activities in the customer’s account. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 19-00254 (Jan. 22, 2019).

FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Ostrander is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $165,000.00 in damages founded on accusations that while Ostrander was associated with SII Investments, Inc., he made investment recommendations that were not suitable for the customer in regard to a variable annuity; made erroneous guarantees with regard to the income that the customer would be able to produce in purchasing the product; and made misrepresentations to the customer with respect to the features, terms or conditions of the variable annuity investment, inducing the customer’s purchase. Ostrander has been registered with Raymond James Financial Services Inc since February 12, 2016.
